Job summary

Werner Enterprises is seeking a driver-operations supervisor in Ocala, FL. You will build and maintain driver relationships, aligning home time, payroll, and equipment support with company needs. Collaborate with Dedicated and Associate Logistics Managers to optimize loads and improve service for customers.

You will interface with billing, risk, safety, and other departments, ensuring a full driver board. Regular attendance and supervisory experience are required for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Admin, Marketing or Transportation/Logistics preferred or 2–3 years fleet management/transportation experience.
• Six months to one year of supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to operate a computer terminal and satellite communications system.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain driver relationships by understanding and meeting driver needs (home time, payroll, equipment).
• Partner with Dedicated and Associate Logistics Managers to optimize driver loads based on origin, destination, freight type, miles, stops and directions.
• Interface with billing, vans, customer service, risk, safety, payroll, fuel, maintenance and external vendors.
• Work with Dedicated Logistics Manager/Operations Manager to maintain a full board of drivers.
• Attend as scheduled and demonstrate timely, regular attendance.
