Job summary

Hirschbach Motor Lines is seeking a Driver Leader to oversee daily fleet operations and maximize productivity. You will monitor driver performance, support safe operations, and ensure service quality across the assigned fleet.

Key duties include coordinating communications with drivers, routing and scheduling, and coaching personnel to improve results. Travel to terminals may be required, with a focus on driver retention and process improvement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred for related fields.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities are essential.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with drivers via phone, email, and messages to reduce hold time.
• Send preplans to drivers and secure load commitments promptly.
• Logistics tracking from dispatch through delivery to ensure on-time service.
• Manage driver availability and update PTAs according to scheduling needs.
• Coach drivers on performance and provide guidance to support success.
• Attend driver operations meetings and travel to terminals as needed.
• Maintain a minimum board of 15 drivers and lead across operations.
