You will focus on driver performance, engagement, retention, compliance, and operational excellence in a fast-paced fleet environment.

Your leadership will directly impact fleet performance, customer satisfaction, driver retention, and overall business results.

Qualifications

  • Experience in transportation, fleet management, driver supervision, logistics, operations, or a related field preferred.
  • Previous leadership or people-management experience strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of DOT regulations, transportation operations, and driver compliance requirements preferred.
  • Strong communication, coaching, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Ability to analyze operational data and make sound business decisions.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and support a team of professional drivers
  • Build strong working relationships through consistent communication and engagement
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for driver questions, concerns, and performance discussions
  • Foster a culture of professionalism, accountability, safety, and customer service
  • Conduct regular driver meetings, coaching sessions, and performance reviews
  • Recognize and celebrate driver achievements, milestones, and outstanding performance
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve driver satisfaction, retention, and morale
  • Maintain consistent communication with drivers to identify concerns and opportunities for improvement
  • Partner with recruiting and leadership teams to support onboarding and long-term driver success
  • Address employee relations issues professionally and effectively
  • Promote programs focused on driver recognition, engagement, and career development
  • Help create a positive work environment that encourages long-term commitment and success
  • Monitor driver productivity, service quality, attendance, and operational performance
  • Ensure drivers comply with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements
  • Coordinate with dispatch, maintenance, safety, and operations teams to optimize fleet performance
  • Assist with route planning, scheduling challenges, and service-related issues
  • Analyze performance metrics and implement corrective actions when needed
  • Manage day-to-day operational issues while balancing business goals and driver needs
  • Support initiatives that improve efficiency, safety, and customer satisfaction
  • Promote and reinforce a strong safety culture throughout the fleet
  • Monitor compliance with DOT regulations, company policies, and industry standards
  • Investigate incidents, accidents, and safety concerns and recommend corrective actions
  • Support driver training and ongoing safety education programs
  • Maintain accurate records related to driver qualifications, safety, and compliance requirements
  • Maintain accurate driver, fleet, and operational records
  • Track key performance indicators, retention trends, safety metrics, and service levels
  • Prepare reports and updates for leadership teams
  • Collaborate across departments to support workforce planning and operational success
  • Recommend process improvements that enhance driver performance, efficiency, and service quality
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the organization

What You'll Do as a Fleet Driver Manager:
