Job summary

Ruan in Salina, KS seeks a Dispatch Manager to oversee the dispatch function for one or more fleet operations and supervise office staff and drivers. You will ensure efficient movement of our customers' products and maintain safety and policy compliance.

You will lead, train, coach, and develop the team, optimize routing, monitor KPIs, and drive continuous improvement while maintaining strong customer communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred in Logistics, Transportation, Business or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in the Transportation Industry (management, dispatching, or customer interaction).
• Experience leading and developing a team; strong change management skills.
• Familiarity with tractor/trailer maintenance and routing/dispatch technology.

Responsibilities

• Manage the dispatch functions for one or more fleet operations and supervise office staff and drivers.
• Oversee dispatchers by training and equipping the team to meet policies and procedures.
• Lead recruiting, coaching, counseling, and performance reviews; drive succession planning.
• Optimize routing and resource allocation to ensure timely deliveries.
• Monitor service levels, KPIs, and cost factors; communicate with customers regularly.
• Promote safety culture and ensure regulatory compliance; support continuous improvement.
