Job summary

Ruan is seeking a Dispatch Operations Supervisor to manage the dispatch functions for one or more fleet operations in San Antonio, TX. The role oversees office staff and drivers, ensures timely deliveries, and enforces safety and compliance with applicable laws.

You will lead a team through training, coaching, scheduling, and performance reviews, monitor KPIs, coordinate routing changes, and maintain strong client communications to optimize service levels.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree preferred in Logistics, Transportation, Business or related field.
• Experience: 3-5 years in Transportation industry (management/dispatching).
• Strong leadership, training and coaching abilities; proficient with routing/dispatching systems and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Manage dispatch functions for one or more fleet operations to ensure efficient movement of products.
• Supervise office staff supporting dispatch and professional drivers on the account.
• Oversee dispatchers with training, tools, and daily operations; ensure policies are followed.
• Efficiently manage routing changes and organize resources to complete deliveries timely.
• Monitor KPIs and costs; communicate with customers regarding transportation issues.
• Promote a safe work environment and ensure compliance with safety programs and laws.
• Lead continuous improvement efforts and partner with customers as needed.
