Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent professional experience considered.
• 2+ years of experience in transportation, dispatch, logistics, fleet operations, or workforce management.
• Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop employees in a fast-paced operational environment.
• Strong Analytical Skillset.
• FMCSA regulations, Hours of Service, driver qualification standards, and transportation compliance practices knowledge preferred.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities with the capacity to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and manage drivers by setting performance expectations and conducting reviews.
• Coordinate with Operations, HR, and Safety on performance concerns and disciplinary matters.
• Ensure driver safety and regulatory compliance with FMCSA requirements.
• Monitor Hours of Service, qualifications, licensing and random drug testing.
• Serve as the primary contact for driver-related issues and support.
• Promote driver engagement and retention through communication and coaching.
• Train drivers on procedures, platforms, and best practices.
• Manage driver schedules, absences, holiday pay, and availability.
• Investigate payroll discrepancies and approve additional compensation when needed.
• Monitor utilization and productivity with load planning teams for efficiency.
• Ensure drivers are dispatched, informed, and prepared for work.
• Support load planning with recovery and re-planning activities.
• Monitor daily pickups/deliveries and communicate risks to teams.
• Enforce company policies, safety standards, and values.
• Foster a collaborative, accountable, high-performance environment.
