Job summary

Rush Enterprises' Rush Truck Centers in Granite City, IL seeks a Rush Technician to provide technical service, perform repairs, and overhaul diesel engines. You will read job orders, diagnose issues, and ensure safety and conformance to specs while returning vehicles to service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 5 years’ experience as a Class 7 & 8 technician in a dealership or related truck service facility.
• Valid driver's license with insurability per company policy.
• Peterbilt, International, Ford, Hino, Isuzu, Cummins, and/or ASE certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical service to vehicles and equipment.
• Perform general and detailed repair of all trucks, engines and components.
• Overhaul gas or diesel engines.
• Install injectors, pistons, liners, cam shafts, cylinder heads, bearings, oil pans, clutches, brakes, batteries, and transmissions.
• Read job order, diagnose malfunction, and plan procedures.
• Inspect guards and safety devices, make adjustments as needed.
• Lubricate parts and verify conformance after repair.
• Tag warranty parts and attend training classes.
• Develop and maintain customer relationships to boost satisfaction.
