FedEx Freight, Inc. is seeking a Mechanic/Technician to maintain and repair our diesel fleet, including tractors, trailers, and forklifts. The role emphasizes preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and safety inspections.

Training and apprenticeship pathways are available with ASE certifications encouraged. Starting pay is competitive with benefits like tool reimbursement and tuition assistance, plus shift differentials.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma (or GED) preferred.
• One year experience performing vehicle maintenance or completion of the FedEx Freight Apprenticeship Program.
• One or more Medium/Heavy Truck ASE Certifications and Class A CDL preferred.
• Must possess necessary tools to perform assigned tasks.
• Basic knowledge of testing equipment and diagnostic systems.
• Ability to lift components weighing up to 110 pounds with assistance.

Responsabilités

• Performs preventative and routine maintenance on tractors, trailers, forklifts, and other equipment.
• Performs basic diagnostics to identify trouble and makes adjustments for safe operation.
• Works with other technicians on preventative maintenance and repairs.
• Documents maintenance accurately in writing and electronically.
• Performs safety inspections and paint/body work as required.
• Comply with laws, regulations, and company policies.
