Job summary

Quality Talent Group is partnering with a global technology leader in building automation and industrial tech. This diesel technician role focuses on diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel engines and heavy equipment across fleet operations.

You will perform advanced diagnostics, execute repairs and rebuilds, and implement preventive maintenance to improve reliability and uptime. Collaboration with maintenance supervisors to plan work, estimate costs, and order parts is expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel engines and heavy equipment.
• Strong knowledge of diesel systems including engines, hydraulics, electrical, and fuel systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot engine or system issues using diagnostic tools.
• ASE Diesel Certification or OEM-specific training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced diagnostics and troubleshooting on diesel engines and complex hydraulic systems.
• Conduct comprehensive repairs and rebuilds of diesel engines, transmissions, and rotary equipment components.
• Execute routine and preventive maintenance schedules to ensure fleet reliability.
• Oversee calibration and adjustment of engine controls, fuel injection systems, and emission control devices.
• Collaborate with maintenance supervisors to develop repair plans, estimate repair costs, and order necessary parts.
