Job summary

Sysco Corp. is seeking a full-time Fleet Maintenance Technician to provide safe, reliable vehicle inspections and repairs, reducing downtime and improving fleet reliability.

The role emphasizes preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and adherence to regulatory standards. Expect responsibilities spanning inspections, diagnostics, and repairs for tractors, trailers, lift-gates, and related equipment, with emphasis on safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Medium/Heavy Duty truck technical training required.
• High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Perform required inspections and preventive maintenance on vehicles and equipment within planned time tolerances.
• Perform annual inspections (FAI/CVI) on fleet vehicles and other equipment as required.
• Perform preventive maintenance per company methods on tractors, trailers, lift-gates and related equipment.
• Perform repairs to maximize safety and reliability per manufacturer specs.
• Address Driver Vehicle Inspection Report write ups timely and efficiently.
• Diagnose malfunctions and repair engines, transmissions, brake, electrical, HVAC, and other systems per specs.
• Document all work on work orders.
• Develop efficiency in Sysco computer programs.
• Proficient in electrical meter testing.
• Understand DC low-voltage controls.
• Complete electrical repairs and welding projects as needed.
