Job summary

Ingram Barge Company is seeking entry-level and experienced deckhands to support fleeting operations in Columbus, KY. You will join a crew, perform tow building, housekeeping, and locking duties, and work on schedules such as 21/21, 14/7, and 7/7 with transportation to each hitch.

Applicants should be able to lift up to 110 pounds, pass a post-offer process, and maintain safety standards while working outdoors in all weather conditions. Training and Orientation are provided.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and write English for regulatory compliance.
• Willingness to work away from home on extended hitch schedules.
• Ability to follow safety standards and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist deck crew in tow building and rigging tasks.
• Perform daily vessel housekeeping and upkeep.
• Assist with locking procedures and inspections.
• Work outdoors in varied weather conditions for extended periods.
• Participate in safety drills and follow safety systems.
