Fred Smith Company in North Carolina seeks an experienced Fleet CDL Foreman for our Fleet Division. You will lead crew leaders and CDL drivers, dispatching for lowboy and fuel truck operations on active commercial sitework and infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities include ensuring safe, timely equipment transport, enforcing regulatory compliance and weight limits, and optimizing logistics for heavy civil jobs.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of specialized heavy civil transport (Lowboy & Fuel Truck) and supervisory experience.
• Deep understanding of motor carrier regulations, required permits, and commercial vehicles.
• Proven track record driving Lowboys; transporting a variety of Heavy Equipment, as well as Fuel Truck operations.

Fred Smith Company is hiring an experienced Fleet CDL (Lowboy & Fuel Truck) Foreman for our Fleet Division in North Carolina. This leadership role oversees crew leaders and drivers hauling heavy equipment and materials to active commercial sitework, public infrastructure, and asphalt job sites.

Key Responsibilities

• SuperviseCrews: Direct and organize daily dispatch for assigned CDL drivers.
• ManageLogistics: Ensure efficient, safe, and timely delivery of equipment and materials.
• EnforceCompliance: Maintain strict adherence to traffic laws, safety protocols, and weight limits.

Qualifications &Requirements

• Experience: Minimum 3 year of specialized heavy civil transport (Lowboy & Fuel Truck) and supervisory experience.
• Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of motor carrier regulations, required permits, and commercial vehicles.
• Skills: Proven track record driving Lowboys; transporting a variety of Heavy Equipment, as well as Fuel Truck driving and fueling operations.
• Licensing: Must hold and maintain a valid North Carolina Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL). Must also have Tanker and Hazmat Endorsements
