Job description

The Fred Smith Company is currently seeking experienced Commercial Truck Drivers for the Carthage, NC area. We are a self‑perform heavy civil contractor working in North Carolina. Pay will be commensurate with experience; all employees are eligible after 90 days for benefits such as health, dental, vision insurance and paid time off.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

• Follow all company safety policies, including taking specific actions to avoid incidents with the traveling public.
• Operate equipment efficiently and follow instructions from management.
• Follow all equipment monitoring and maintenance requirements and maintain DOT‑required logbooks.
• Must have a valid Class A or B CDL license, a current medical examiner’s certificate, and endorsements if applicable.

Local applicants are preferred.
