Job summary

Element Fleet Management in Hopkins, MN is seeking an experienced Supervisor, Capping Operations to lead a team responsible for vehicle capitalization, vendor payments, and financial reconciliations. You will ensure service levels, accuracy, and compliance while partnering with Acquisitions, Vehicle Processing, and Accounting.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree and 5+ years in Finance Ops or related fields, plus 2+ years of leadership. Strong Excel skills and ERP exposure are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Operations, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of progressive experience in Finance Operations, Accounts Payable, Accounting, Fleet Operations, or Vehicle Acquisition.
• 2+ years of leadership or supervisory experience.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reconciliations, vendor payment processes, taxation, and financial controls.
• Experience leading operational teams in a high-volume transactional environment.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency and experience managing operational metrics and service levels.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and manage a team of Capping Associates and Analysts.
• Oversee daily operations: workload balancing, queue management, SLA attainment.
• Provide governance of billing, taxation, capitalization, payments, and reconciliations.
• Drive process improvements and automation; update SOPs.
• Collaborate with Acquisitions, Vehicle Processing, Supplier Services, and others.
• Ensure accurate capitalization of vehicle assets and financial controls.
• Maintain service levels while balancing quality and productivity.
• Manage hiring, onboarding, coaching, and workforce planning.
• Serve as primary escalation point for complex operational issues.
