Job summary

VIP Auto Accessories in St. Louis seeks an Automotive Technician to join our fleet maintenance team. You’ll perform preventive maintenance and repairs on light- and medium-duty fleet vehicles, diagnose issues with modern tools, and keep detailed service records for customers.

We value 3+ years of hands-on automotive repair, ASE or manufacturer certifications, and a customer-first mindset. CDL a plus; clean driving record; excellent communication; and ability to work independently.

Qualifications

3+ years of hands-on automotive repair experience.
ASE/Manufacturer Certifications preferred.
Strong diagnostic skills with modern diagnostic equipment.
Knowledge of brake systems, suspension, electrical systems, and engine repair.
Valid driver’s license (CDL a plus) and a clean driving record.
Ability to work independently and communicate clearly with customers.

Responsibilities

Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on fleet vehicles (light- and medium-duty).
Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues using diagnostic tools.
Complete inspections ensuring safety and compliance standards.
Maintain accurate service records and communicate with customers about repairs and timelines.
Collaborate with scheduling teams to prioritize urgent repairs and minimize downtime.
Recommend proactive maintenance strategies to avoid future issues.
