Job summary

VIP Auto Accessories in St. Louis is seeking an Automotive Technician to join our fleet maintenance team. You will perform preventive maintenance and repairs on a variety of fleet vehicles, from light vans to medium-duty trucks, ensuring safety and reliability for our customers.

Applicants should have 3+ years of hands-on automotive or diesel repair experience, with strong diagnostic skills and a clean driving record. ASE certifications are preferred, and owning a set of tools is expected.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on automotive and/or diesel repair experience (fleet maintenance preferred).
• ASE/Manufacturer certifications preferred.
• Strong diagnostic skills with modern diagnostic equipment.
• Knowledge of brake systems, suspension, electrical systems, and engine repair.
• Valid driver’s license (CDL a plus) and clean driving record.
• Ability to work independently.
• Customer-first mindset and pride in delivering quality work.
• Good communicator.
• Own set of tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on a variety of fleet vehicles, including light- and medium-duty trucks, vans, and specialty vehicles.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues using advanced diagnostic tools.
• Complete inspections and ensure all vehicles meet safety and compliance standards.
• Maintain accurate service records and communicate clearly with customers about needed repairs and timelines.
• Collaborate with our scheduling teams to prioritize urgent repairs and minimize downtime.
• Recommend proactive maintenance strategies to help customers avoid future issues.
