Job summary

Master’s Transportation in Kansas City, MO is seeking an Auto Body Technician to perform body repair and refinishing on our fleet vehicles, including buses, vans, and trucks. You will inspect damage, perform repairs, prep surfaces, and apply finishes to restore safety and appearance while meeting company standards and timelines.

Ideal candidates have formal collision repair training or 3+ years of related experience, and can read work orders, use shop tools safely, and collaborate with shop,

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age with a valid driver’s license.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited automotive collision repair program, or at least three years of related body repair and refinishing experience.
• Ability to meet physical requirements and work in a production fleet service environment.

Responsibilities

• Inspect fleet vehicles for body and cosmetic damage and communicate findings to the Shop Manager.
• Perform collision and body repairs on buses, vans, trucks, and other fleet vehicles.
• Straighten and reshape damaged panels using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and measuring systems.
• Prepare surfaces for refinishing by cleaning, sanding, grinding, filling, masking, priming, and sealing.
• Mix, match, and apply paint and coatings; blend finishes and perform touch-ups.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and ensure safety procedures are followed.
