Job summary

The City of New York's DCAS seeks a Community Coordinator (56058) to support community outreach and program coordination. The role focuses on building relationships with City agencies, residents, and community groups to advance program goals.

Minimum qualifications include a bachelor’s degree with 2 years of related experience or a high school diploma with 6 years of related experience, plus equivalency options. Residency requirements and equal opportunity commitments apply.

Qualifications

  • A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and two years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to duties described above.
  • High school graduation or equivalent and six years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to the duties.
  • Education and/or experience equivalent to 1 or 2 above with at least one year of experience as described in 1.

Responsibilities

  • Attend meetings and conference calls, and prepare relevant reports.
  • Conduct vendor and agency site visits, vehicle inspections, minor troubleshooting, and agency decal removal/cover.
  • Coordinate on agency/vendor/buyer logistics and documentation.
  • Make vehicle salvage recommendations.
  • Estimate minimum bids using online resources and historical data.
  • Coordination of operations with agencies, vendors, and customers, including vehicle tow-away.
  • Documentation download, retention, and maintenance of all sales materials.
  • Perform related work.
  • Assist with general fleet and agency initiatives.
