Job summary

City of New York's DCAS seeks a Deputy Director to lead the auction program. You will manage staff, coordinate staffing resources, oversee contract management and vendor relations, and ensure compliance with citywide policies.

You will monitor vehicle disposition, work with agencies and the NYS DMV, and report performance metrics while guiding strategic initiatives to optimize revenue and operations.

Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree and five years of full-time supervisory or administrative experience, including urban economic/promotional work.
• Two years in a managerial or executive role focused on business promotion or urban economic planning, or an equivalent combination.

Responsibilities

• Manage a staff of auction personnel, including City employees and temporary staff.
• Contract management and reconciliation of adherence to Citywide contracts.
• Vendor management and performance oversight.
• Determine settlement offers in disputes tied to vehicle condition.
• Oversee the chain of custody for titles.
• Respond to customer service requests from agencies for auction program aspects.
• Report on auction performance including OTPS needs and revenue production.
