Job summary

IT Resources is seeking a Fleet Management Application Analyst to serve as the primary technical resource for a cloud-hosted fleet management platform. You will support ~30 end users, manage configurations, upgrades, and reporting, and work with fleet operations and IT teams to optimize workflows.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Job description

Title: Fleet Management Application Analyst

Location: Hybrid (3 days onsite / 2 days remote)

Duration: 2-Year Contract

Pay Rate: $40-$60/hour

Position Overview

We are seeking a Fleet Management Application Analyst to serve as the primary technical resource for a cloud-hosted fleet and asset management application, supporting approximately 30 end users across the organization. This role is responsible for application administration, configuration, user support, troubleshooting, reporting, and continuous improvement of the fleet management platform.

The ideal candidate will have experience supporting and administering Asset Works or a comparable fleet management solution and possess strong analytical skills to identify process improvements and drive operational efficiencies. This position requires a self-starter who is comfortable conducting extensive research, discovery, and knowledge acquisition, particularly during the initial phase of the engagement as they become familiar with the application's current configuration, integrations, and business processes.

In addition to application support responsibilities, this role will partner closely with fleet operations, business stakeholders, vendors, and IT teams to enhance workflows, optimize system utilization, and support ongoing initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the primary application analyst and administrator for the fleet management system.

Required Qualifications:

Required Experience

• 2+ years of Application Analyst, Application Administrator, Business Systems Analyst, or similar experience.
• Experience supporting, configuring, or administering a Fleet Management application such as Asset Works, Fleetio, Faster, Agile Fleet, Trapeze, ManagerPlus, or similar fleet/asset management solutions.
• Experience supporting end users in a production application environment.
• Experience gathering requirements, analyzing business processes, and implementing system improvements.

Top Required Skills

• Expertise with Asset Works (configuration, administration, production support) or a comparable Fleet Management / CMMS platform.
• Strong COTS application configuration experience, including adapting software to meet business needs without custom development.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to independently research and resolve issues.
• Project coordination and workflow optimization experience.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills with the ability to support technical and non-technical users.

Highly Desired Qualifications:

• SQL scripting experience (highly preferred). Candidates should be comfortable writing and troubleshooting SQL queries for reporting, data validation, research, analysis, and troubleshooting purposes. Candidates without SQL experience must be willing and able to learn SQL as it will be a critical component of the role.
• Experience with Power BI or similar reporting and analytics tools.
• Experience with fleet telematics, GPS, AVL, or vehicle tracking integrations.
• Knowledge of public sector fleet and asset management practices.
• Experience with application integrations, APIs, and data interfaces.
• Experience supporting cloud-hosted enterprise applications.
