The City of Atlanta is seeking a Fleet Manager to oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of vehicles and equipment, from requisition through decommissioning. You will work with internal departments to specify needs, manage acquisitions, registrations, titles, and asset records, and coordinate with vendors for timely deliveries.

Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor's degree in a related field and at least five years of fleet management experience, with strong knowledge of procurement principles

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in a related field is required.
• Five (5) years of fleet management experience are required.
• Knowledge of government procurement principles is advantageous.

Mansioni

• Develop vehicle and equipment specifications with internal departments.
• Requisition and receive new vehicles and equipment.
• Register and title new and existing assets.
• Maintain vehicle files and titles.
• Commission/decommission vehicles and equipment.
• Surplus and auction retired assets.
• Assign vehicles/equipment to departments and input data into the Fleet Management System.
• Coordinate vehicle deliveries with external vendors per contract guidelines.
• Inspect and test light to heavy-duty equipment for proper operation.
• Manage fuel card usage, compliance, and reporting.
• Maintain city fuel sites and deliveries.
• Support Fleet Manager in daily operations and administrative tasks.
