Qualifications

• Currently enrolled as an undergraduate junior, senior, or graduate student.
• Majors include Food Science, Chemistry, Culinary Science, Nutrition Science or related field.
• GPA minimum 3.0 overall and 3.3 within major.
• Excellent oral and written communication required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Lab or kitchen experience preferred.
• Data analysis experience preferred.
• Familiar with food science concepts.
• Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily flavor customer support activities. Includes sample preparation, testing, and data gathering.
• Work with internal food technical team providing hands-on assistance and project guidance.
• Collaborate with scientists and technologists to deliver ad hoc project results in a timely manner.
• Projects may include flavor application, prototype formulation, bench testing, evaluation of flavor technologies, and competitive benchmarking.
• Cross training with other McCormick departments according to intern interests.
