Job summary

McCormick & Company, Incorporated is seeking a Product Development Intern for a 10-week program in Hunt Valley, Maryland. The internship runs June 7, 2027 to August 13, 2027, with a 40-hour workweek and a hybrid schedule.

Responsibilities include assisting with flavor development, sample evaluation, and collaboration with beverage and food teams. Applicants should be current undergraduates in relevant science programs and have strong communication and data skills.

Qualifications

• Current enrollment as an undergraduate junior in a relevant program.
• Programs include Food Science, Chemistry, Culinary Science, Nutrition Science or related.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Laboratory or kitchen experience preferred.
• Ability to analyze data and perform basic beverage formulation and scale-up calculations.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily flavor customer support activities including sample preparation, sample evaluation/tasting, data gathering, and shipments.
• Work with internal beverage/food technical team providing hands-on assistance and guidance.
• Collaborate with scientists and technologists to deliver project results timely.
• Projects may include flavor application, prototype formulation, base improvement, bench testing and benchmarking.
• Maintain a clean, safe lab and follow all safety protocols.
