Job summary

McCormick & Company, Incorporated in Geneva, IL is offering a 10-week Product Development Intern internship from June 7, 2026 to August 13, 2026. This full-time internship requires 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, and provides hands-on experience in flavor development and collaboration with our internal food science team.

As an intern you will assist with daily flavor customer support activities, work with internal teams on projects, and gain exposure to flavor application, prototype

Qualifications

• Current enrollment as an undergraduate college Junior, Senior or graduate student in a relevant academic program.
• Grade point average overall minimum of 3.0/4.0 and 3.3 within major required.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills required
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint required
• Experience working in a laboratory or kitchen environment preferred.
• Ability to perform data analysis preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily flavor customer support activities. Includes sample preparation, testing, and data gathering.
• Work directly with internal food technical team providing hands-on assistance and project guidance.
• Collaborate with other scientists and technologists to deliver ad hoc project results in a timely manner.
• Projects may include flavor application, prototype formulation, bench testing, evaluation of flavor technologies, and competitive benchmarking.
• Cross training with other McCormick departments according to the Intern’s interests including Sensory Science, QA/QC, Flavor Creation, and Sales/Marketing.

• Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment is required.
