Job summary

McCormick & Company, Incorporated is seeking a full-time Product Development Intern in Hunt Valley, Maryland for a 10-week internship (June 7th, 2027 - August 13, 2027) which requires 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday.

During the internship you will sharpen leadership skills, work on real-world challenges, and collaborate with internal beverage and food technical teams. You will also have opportunities to network with executives and other interns.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled as an undergraduate college junior.
• Relevant academic programs include Food Science, Chemistry, Culinary Science or Nutrition.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint required.
• Experience working in a laboratory or kitchen environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily flavor customer support activities including sample preparation, sample evaluation/tasting, data gathering, and shipments.
• Work directly with internal beverage and/or food technical teams providing hands-on assistance and project guidance.
• Collaborate with other scientists and technologists to deliver ad hoc project results in a timely manner.
• Projects might include flavor application, prototype formulation, base improvement, bench testing and competitive benchmarking.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly lab, including cleaning equipment and following safety protocols.
