Swift Transportation is seeking a trainer to teach flatbed securement, safety, and equipment usage to professional truck drivers in Greer, SC. You will lead classroom sessions, organize training courses, and ensure drivers are proficient in tie-down procedures.

The role requires 6+ months in flat-bed securement and 2+ years in transportation, plus strong communication and instructional skills. bilingual English/Spanish is a plus for certain locations.

Qualifications

• 6+ months flat-bed securement experience required.
• 2+ years transportation experience required.
• Must possess full working knowledge of all flat-bed equipment and tie down procedures.
• Must possess strong communication skills.
• Must be able to conduct classroom instruction.
• IF LAREDO LOCATION: bilingual in English and Spanish, written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Instruct professional truck drivers defensive techniques, proper documentation, and equipment usage.
• Assign flatbed equipment to drivers and ensure equipment is available to drivers.
• Instruct lead and organize Flatbed training course for experienced drivers.
• Recruit experienced drivers transitioning from van to flatbed.
• Conduct weekly flatbed recruiting seminar during driver orientation.
• Promote good relations with drivers through coaching and supporting problem-solving on flatbed securement.
