Job summary

P&S Transportation is seeking a Flatbed 101 Instructor to supervise driver training, conduct Smith System training, and ensure compliance with Hours of Service, CSA, FMCSA regulations, and company policies. You will guide onboarding, coordinate testing, and manage Week 1 and Week 2 training for driver trainees.

The role requires a Class-A CDL, solid knowledge of flatbed operations and cargo securement, strong communication, and hands-on classroom and on‑road instruction.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 5+ years of experience in Supply Chain Management, Safety, Operations, Transportation or Cargo Securement.
• Knowledge of 48’–53’ flatbed trailer sizes preferred.
• Experience with FMCSA regulations and HOS is a plus.
• CMV experience or prior law enforcement a plus.

Responsibilities

• Classroom instruction and hands-on training for drivers.
• Manage driver trainees in the program and keep schedules.
• Evaluate driver skills and ensure training compliance Week 1 and Week 2.
• Deliver training in classroom, yard, and on-road settings as needed.
