Qualifications

• 5+ years of Flatbed Carrier Sales experience in a 3PL/Brokerage environment.
• Knowledge of Spot Pricing/Quoting for Flatbed loads.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Self-motivated with ability to work with minimal supervision or in a team.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Strong negotiation skills.
• Ability to work independently and be a decisive performer.

Responsibilities

• Negotiate and secure carriers to move freight in a timely and cost-effective manner, while cultivating strong core carrier relationships.
• Maintain continuous communication with carriers and customers to ensure a high-quality freight movement process.
• Ensure freight is picked up, transported and delivered on time to meet or exceed client expectations.
• Inform all parties of route changes, delays, or issues as necessary.
• Schedule pick-up and delivery appointment times with awareness of factors affecting timeframe.
• Maintain and update accurate information in the company’s operating system.
• Find trucking companies that move clients’ freight using proprietary technology.
• Track back-end billing and invoicing to ensure carrier charges are accurate.
• Maintain awareness of operations at all times.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Type: Full-time; Remote (Western US)

Responsibilities

• Negotiate and secure carriers to move freight in a timely and cost-effective manner, while cultivating strong core carrier relationships.

• Ensure all parties are informed of route changes, delays, freight concerns, or other issues as necessary.
• Schedule pick-up and delivery appointment times; must have insight into all factors affecting timeframe (weather, traffic, miles, service rules, etc.).
• Maintain and update accurate information in the company’s operating system.
• Find trucking companies that physically move clients’ freight using the company’s proprietary technology.
• Track back-end billing and invoicing to ensure that carrier charges are accurate.
• Always maintain awareness of operations.
• Other duties as assigned.

Experience

• 5+ years of prior Flatbed Carrier Sales experience within a 3PL/Brokerage environment.
• Solid understanding & knowledge base of handling Spot Pricing/Quoting for Flatbed loads.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Self-motivated and able to work well with minimal supervision or in a team environment.
• Possess strong written and verbal communication skills.
