Job summary

Prescor in Oklahoma is seeking an industrial operator to ensure tank heads are beveled and tapered to specification. You will move materials with a forklift and machine heads to precise tolerances using a flame trimmer.

You must report quality issues, cooperate with departments, and comply with safety regulations while maintaining an orderly work area and meeting production deadlines.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Valid driver’s license and proof of insurance.
• 0-2 years of manufacturing experience (entry level) or 2-4 years for higher level.
• Ability to read part drawings and job specifications.
• Basic measurement methods and quality awareness.
• English reading/writing for safety notices and procedures.

Job description

Objective:

Ensures that 1) tank heads are beveled and tapered in accordance with the specifications set out on their Job Travelers and 2) the measurements of the finished tank heads fall within the allowed tolerances.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

• Move materials with a forklift
• Machine heads to specific tolerances using a flame trimmer

• Report quality issues, including defects and damage to the supervisor in charge
• Coordinate with other departments as needed to accomplish objectives
• Comply with the industry standards and safety regulations
• Complete all tasks as delegated by the supervisor in charge
• Manage time and work efficiently to meet production deadlines
• Keep the work area clean and organized

• Squat/kneel, bend/stoop, twist/turn, grasp, climb a ladder, and reach overhead and outward frequently.

• Work in an industrial environment wearing hearing protection, vision protection, steel-toed shoes, and other appropriate personal protective equipment.
• The work environment may include excessive temperatures.

Minimum Job Qualifications and Requirements:

High School Diploma or GED

  2. 2-4 years of previous manufacturing experience
  3. 4 years of previous manufacturing experience

• Ability to read part drawings
• Familiarity with basic measurement methods
• Ability to interact and work cooperatively with supervisors and co-workers
