Job summary

Air Distribution Technologies, Inc. is seeking a skilled welder for our metal fabrication team.

You will weld, cut and braze metal pieces using flame-cutting and hand welding equipment, and work on welds in Weld, Round, and Flange applications. The ideal candidate has a high school diploma (or equivalent) and 0–2 years of factory experience, with the ability to read safety instructions, tags, and measure accurately.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; 0–2 years factory experience preferred.
• Ability to read safety rules and operate measuring tools.
• Ability to read and interpret tags and instructions.

Responsibilities

• Read tags and instructions; perform welding, cutting and brazing.
• Tack weld with MIG weld.
• Flange pipes and assemble wall fittings per specs.
• Set up welder according to specifications and choose shielding gas.
• Carry out other duties as assigned.

Position Overview

Position will work in Weld, Round, and Flange and will weld, cut and braze metal pieces and products by using flame-cutting and hand welding equipment.

Key Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Able to read tags.
• Ability to tack weld with MIG weld.
• Able to correctly and efficiently flange pipe.
• Build and stuff wall fittings.
• Able to correctly change lead and liner.
• Ability to use and read a tape measure.
• Setup welder correctly according to specifications.
• Able to choose the correct shielding gas and attach to welding gun.
• Other duties may be assigned.

Education and/or Experience

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in standard units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Ability to adhere to delegation of authority and lead by instructions of management and supervision.
