Job summary

Specialist Staffing Group is seeking a Mechanical Engineer for a medical device fixture and equipment design role in North San Jose, CA. This is a 12-month initial contract with potential extension; W2 opportunity; interviews this week.

Responsibilities include fixture and equipment design, new designs and partial modifications, integration of off-the-shelf equipment, and documentation and release management, with emphasis on mechanical design and automation controls.

Location: North San Jose, CA

Duration: 12-Month Initial Contract - Multiyear Project, plans to extend

Vacation Time: 9 Paid Holidays + 13 days of accrued PTO annually

Product: Complex Capital Equipment, Electromechanical

Scope: Processes, Fixtures & Equipment

• System and equipment design
• Fixture and equipment design
• Design and development of equipment used to build different parts of the system
• Some testing involvement, but testing will primarily be handled by another team

Desired Background

• Python experience- modifying/editing Python tests scripts
• Ability to design from scratch as well as modify existing designs
