Real in North San Jose, CA is seeking an Electrical Engineer focused on PCBA design, embedded systems, and FPGA integration to ensure production readiness, cost-effectiveness, and robust hardware for medical device manufacturing.

The role requires hands-on PCBA work, FPGA experience, and strong Python scripting for test automation, with a 12-month initial contract and potential extension. Interviews available via virtual format this week.

Qualifications

  • Strong hands-on experience in PCBA and PCB design.
  • Knowledge of FPGA development or integration (preferred: hands‑on design background).
  • Solid understanding of embedded systems, including low-level hardware/software interaction.
  • Python proficiency for embedded test automation and system validation (required).
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering (preferred) or Mechatronics.
  • Familiarity with electronics manufacturing, component sourcing, and supplier technical engagement.
  • Experience within medical devices or other regulated, high‑quality hardware industries (strong plus).

  • Ensure all electronics-related supply chain activities meet medical‑device compliance and documentation standards.
