Job summary

Keolis America, Inc. is seeking full-time bus drivers in the Leesburg, VA area.

Candidates must hold a valid CDL with Passenger Endorsement and have DMV-verified at least 3 years of driving experience, preferably with knowledge of the DC metro region. Successful applicants will pass a DOT physical and pre-employment drug screen, maintain a clean driving record, and deliver excellent customer service, including assistance to riders with disabilities.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Verifiable CDL with Passenger Endorsement.
• Minimum 3 years driving experience verifiable through DMV.
• Strong knowledge of the service area (Multi County area including DC).
• Uniformed and groomed at all times.
• Must pass a criminal background check.
• Clean driving record (no more than 2 moving violations within the past 3 years).
• Must pass pre-employment drug test and DOT physical.
• Customer service experience is required.
• High degree of comfort working with people with disabilities.
• Excellent communication (written and verbal) and decision making skills.
• Must be able to communicate effectively in English (spoken and written).
• Must be able and willing to work Monday - Sunday - split shifts per bid selection/award.

Responsibilities

• Perform vehicle Pre-Trip Inspection.
• Operate 35 foot Buss on Chassis.
• Operate 45 ft Motor Coach.
• Complete Pre-Trip Inspection Report and deposit copy.
• Report any corrections to Dispatch and or Maintenance Supervisor.
• Operate his/her vehicle in a safe and courteous manner at all times.
• Observe and obey all posted speed limits and traffic laws.
• Maintain a current Commercial Driver’s License and DOT Card.
• Report any changes in their driving record immediately upon change.
• Document all times, passenger counts, incidents, or any other information requested.
• Assist with ADA passengers to ensure safe transport.
• Will follow all safety requirements as instructed by safety manager.
• Other duties as required.

Requirements/Knowledge and Experience

• Must be at least 21 years of age
