Job summary

Keolis Commuter Services is hiring a safety-focused bus operator to serve the Multi County area, including DC. You will drive 35-foot and 45-foot coaches, perform pre-trip inspections, and ensure ADA passenger assistance with a strong emphasis on safety and customer service.

The role requires a valid CDL with Passenger Endorsement, a clean DMV record, and the ability to pass a DOT physical and background check. Uniforms are provided, and schedules vary across the bid cycle.

Qualifications

• CDL with Passenger Endorsement required.
• Minimum 3 years driving experience verifiable through DMV.
• Background check with clean driving record (no more than 2 moving violations in 3 years).
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen and DOT physical.
• Customer service experience required; comfortable with disabled passengers.
• Must communicate effectively in English (written and spoken).
• Ability to work Monday–Sunday with split shifts per bid.

Responsibilities

• Perform vehicle pre-trip inspections.
• Operate 35-foot bus on chassis and 45-foot motor coach.
• Complete pre-trip inspection reports and submit to Dispatch/Maintenance.
• Report changes in driving record and any corrections to Dispatch.
• Drive safely and courteously, obey speed limits and traffic laws.
• Assist ADA passengers to ensure safe transport.
• Follow safety requirements as instructed by safety manager.
• Other duties as required.

Job description

• Verifiable CDL (Commercial Driver’s License) with a Passenger Endorsement
• Minimum 3 years required driving experience - verifiable through DMV
• Strong knowledge of the service area (Multi County area including DC) is preferred
• Professionally groomed and uniformed at all time
• Must be able to pass a criminal background check
• Must have a clean verifiable driver record (no more than 2 moving violations within the past 3 years)
• Must be able to pass pre-employment drug test and DOT physical
• Customer Service Experience is required
• High degree of comfort working with people with disabilities.
• Possess excellent communication (written and verbal) and decision making skills
• Must be able to effectively communicate in the English language (spoken and written)
• Must be able and willing to work Monday - Sunday - split shift schedules - according to bid selection/award
