Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Fixed Equipment Maintenance Technician in East TN to perform maintenance on mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems. You will handle repairs, pump work, belt splicing, and basic alignment while following safety and LOTO procedures.

Qualified candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, a related trade qualification, and experience reading blueprints. Welding experience is a plus; diligent teamwork and basic software skills are valued in this role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Trade or related qualification in mechanical, hydraulic and electrical maintenance.
• Welding experience preferred.
• Experience reading blueprints and fabricating from them.
• Experience burning using the appropriate technique/cutter.
• Ability to use layout/measurement tools.
• Able to read micrometers.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic structural repair or replacement of equipment parts.
• Understand stationary maintenance concepts and perform related tasks.
• Perform basic drive/component alignment and pump repairs.
• Splice conveyor belts and assist with belt-related tasks.
• Pack Goulds and 4GT IR pumps and assist in related rebuilds.
• Perform basic shaft/hoist repairs and LOTO procedures.
• Coordinate with team and maintain basic housekeeping.
• Communicate effectively with the team to complete tasks.

Job Details

• Responsibilities: Basic technical knowledge and skills, including an understanding of stationary maintenance concepts
• Perform structural repair or replacement of equipment parts
• Perform basic drive/component alignment
• Competent in pipe fitting from 4” and larger
• Ability to change/rebuild pump barrel-Goulds and 4GT IR pumps
• Ability to splice conveyor belts
• Ability to pack Goulds and 4GT IR Pumps
• Basic pump troubleshooting
• Competent in Grid coupling alignment
• Assist in replacing conveyer belts
• Assist in full shaft, hoist, crusher, and compressor rebuild
• Perform basic shaft and hoist repairs
• Perform LOTO
• Basic rigging and weight handling
• Basic housekeeping functions
• Basic communication and interpersonal skills and a “team-oriented” approach to the achievement of tasks
• Proficiency in relevant software

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED
• Appropriate trade or related qualification in maintenance of mechanical, hydraulic and electrical equipment or a related discipline
