Job summary

U.S. Bank is seeking a Syndicate Middle Office Associate in Charlotte, NC to support post-trade processing for Syndicate and Brokered CD transactions through settlement.

You will coordinate with trading, sales, operations, and finance, resolve trade exceptions, validate allocations, and support P&L reporting in a deadline-driven environment. The role requires 1–3 years in capital markets or related areas, strong Excel and Bloomberg skills, and FINRA licensing willingness within 120 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
• 1-3 years of experience in capital markets, fixed income trading support, middle office, operations, or related financial services environment.

Responsibilities

• Support the post-trade processing lifecycle for Syndicate and Brokered CD transactions from execution through settlement.
• Serve as a primary point of contact between trading, sales, operations, finance, and external counterparties.
• Monitor and resolve trade exceptions, settlement discrepancies, and reconciliation breaks in a timely manner.
• Validate trade allocations, trade economics, and position accuracy across internal systems.
• Assist with daily profit and loss (P&L) reconciliation and reporting processes.
• Support new issue syndicate transactions, including order management, allocations, and settlement coordination.
• Participate in development and enhancement of operational controls, procedures, and process improvements.
• Identify operational risks and escalate issues appropriately to management.
• Contribute to strategic initiatives focused on automation, scalability, and operating efficiency.
