Job summary

Barings LLC is seeking an Associate in Charlotte, NC to oversee corporate actions and income processing for investment portfolios. You will interpret issuer documents, coordinate with custodians, and ensure accurate event processing while collaborating with Operations, Technology and Portfolio Management.

The role emphasizes independent judgement, process improvements, and strong stakeholder communication to support client servicing and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting or related discipline.
• 2+ years of experience in investment operations, corporate actions, custody, fund administration or related financial services.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyse corporate action and income information and determine appropriate operational treatment through issuer documentation, custodian notifications and market practice guidance.
• Exercise independent judgement when evaluating exceptions, claims, breaks and other operational issues arising from corporate action and income events.
• Develop and implement process improvement initiatives in collaboration with Operations and Technology.
• Contribute to procedures, controls and supporting documentation related to corporate actions and income processing.
• Represent Corporate Actions in cross-functional groups and discussions with custodians regarding service quality and event processing.
