Job summary

LHH is seeking an experienced Fixed Assets Accounting Manager to oversee asset accounting for a leading service company. You will manage asset lifecycle, ensure GAAP compliance, and provide strategic insights on depreciation and capital investments.

This Hybrid role requires 5+ years in fixed asset accounting, a CPA/CMA preferred, and strong ERP experience (SAP/Oracle/NetSuite). 2 in-office days per week with unlimited PTO.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA or CMA preferred.
• 5+ years in fixed asset or general accounting with 2+ years in a managerial or supervisory role.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full lifecycle of fixed assets, including acquisition, capitalization, depreciation, transfers, and disposals.
• Ensure accurate and timely recording of fixed asset transactions per GAAP and company policies.
• Maintain the fixed asset subledger and reconcile it with the general ledger.
• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes related to fixed assets, including journal entries, schedules, and reporting.
• Prepare and analyze fixed asset reports and provide insights to senior management.
• Monitor and evaluate capital expenditures to ensure proper classification and accounting treatment.
• Support internal and external audits by providing fixed asset documentation and responding to audit inquiries.
• Develop and implement internal controls, policies, and procedures related to fixed asset accounting.
• Train and supervise fixed asset accounting staff, where applicable.
