Job summary

SNI Financial, partnering with a growing organization, seeks a Fixed Asset Accounting Manager to lead the fixed asset function and develop a high-performing team. The role emphasizes process improvement, internal controls, and scalable systems to support growth.

In this hybrid role, you will oversee depreciation, capitalizations, CIP, and month-end close, while mentoring staff and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive accuracy and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Strong fixed asset accounting experience with GAAP
• Experience leading accounting teams
• Experience with fixed assets processes like CIP, depreciation
• Proficient in ERP and Excel

Responsibilities

• Lead fixed asset accounting operations, including capitalization, depreciation, retirements, CIP, and reconciliations.
• Mentor and develop a team of accounting professionals.
• Oversee month-end close, journal entries, accruals, and financial reporting for fixed assets.
• Identify process improvements and strengthen internal controls.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Lead and oversee fixed asset accounting operations, including capitalizations, depreciation, retirements, construction in progress (CIP), and reconciliations.


• Manage, mentor, and develop a team of accounting professionals while fostering accountability and collaboration.


• Oversee month-end close activities, journal entries, accruals, and financial reporting related to fixed assets.


• Handle complex accounting matters and provide technical guidance to the team.


• Identify opportunities to streamline processes, strengthen internal controls, and improve operational efficiency.


• Partner with accounting leadership and cross-functional teams to support continued business growth.

What We're Looking For:

• Strong fixed asset accounting experience with a solid understanding of GAAP and general ledger accounting.


• Proven experience managing and developing accounting teams.


• Ability to balance hands-on technical accounting with broader leadership responsibilities.


• Strong Excel skills and experience working with ERP systems.


• Experience in high-volume accounting environments with demanding close schedules.


• A proactive, solutions-oriented leader who takes ownership, communicates effectively, and thrives in a growing organization.


• Workday, SQL, and accounting automation experience are a plus.
