Job summary

Crusoe Energy Systems LLC is seeking a senior fixed asset accountant to own CAPEX/ OPEX determinations and to manage PP&E roll-forwards across entities.

You will partner with Project Managers, Cost Control, Tax, Finance, Procurement, and Operations to capitalize in-service assets, support month-end closes, and drive process improvements in a fast-growing environment. CPA preferred and GAAP expertise required.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of fixed asset accounting experience
• 3–6 years of experience managing and developing teams
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred
• Strong working knowledge of GAAP related to CAPEX vs. OPEX
• Familiarity with internal controls and SOX compliance
• Understanding of consolidations, joint ventures, and intercompany transactions
• Exposure to month-end financial reporting processes

Responsibilities

• Review CAPEX vs. OPEX treatment for purchases
• Analyze capital accounting entries and reconciliations
• Collaborate with Project Managers and Finance teams on asset capitalization
• Prepare monthly and year-to-date PP&E roll-forwards
• Support monthly reporting and fluctuation analysis
• Assist with audit and due diligence requests
• Contribute to team development and process improvements
• Perform other duties as assigned
