Job summary

Crusoe is seeking a senior fixed asset accountant to own CAPEX vs OPEX decisions, review requisitions, and manage PP&E roll-forwards across Crusoe's entities. You will collaborate with Project Managers, Cost Control, Tax, Finance, Procurement and Operations to ensure assets are capitalized correctly.

The role also involves supporting monthly reporting, fluctuation analysis, audits, and due diligence, plus developing the team and driving process improvements in a fast-growing environment.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of fixed asset accounting experience, plus general ledger accounting experience.
• 3–6 years of experience managing and developing teams.
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred.
• Strong working knowledge of GAAP as it relates to CAPEX vs. OPEX determinations.
• Familiarity with internal controls, SOX compliance, and accounting best practices.
• Understanding of consolidations, joint ventures, and intercompany transactions.
• Exposure to and understanding of month-end financial reporting processes.

Responsibilities

• Review purchase requisitions and orders to determine proper CAPEX vs. OPEX treatment.
• Review and analyze complex capital accounting entries and reconciliations.
• Partner with Project Managers, Cost Control, Tax, Finance, Procurement, and Operations teams to identify and capitalize in-service project assets.
• Prepare and reconcile assigned monthly and year-to-date PP&E roll-forwards for Crusoe's consolidated and unconsolidated legal entities.
• Prepare and support other monthly reporting and fluctuation analysis.
• Support audit and due diligence requests as needed.
• Contribute to team performance management, goal setting, and professional development.
• Drive process improvements and efficiencies, and serve as a resource to the team and business partners on accounting matters and problem-solving.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
