Job summary

Crusoe Energy Systems is seeking a Senior Fixed Asset Accountant to own CAPEX vs. OPEX determinations and manage PP&E roll-forwards across entities. You will collaborate with Project Managers, Tax, Finance, and Operations to capitalize in-service assets and support monthly closing.

The role emphasizes leadership, process improvements, and compliance with GAAP and SOX controls, in a fast-moving energy-tech environment.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years fixed asset accounting experience and general ledger work.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred.
• Strong GAAP knowledge related to CAPEX vs OPEX determinations.
• 3–6 years of experience managing and developing teams.
• Familiarity with SOX controls and internal accounting practices.
• Experience with month-end financial reporting processes.

Responsibilities

• Review CAPEX vs OPEX treatment on requisitions and orders.
• Analyze capital accounting entries and reconciliations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to capitalize in-service project assets.
• Prepare monthly and YTD PP&E roll-forwards for entities.
• Support monthly reporting and fluctuation analysis.
• Assist during audits and due diligence.
• Contribute to team performance management and career development.
• Drive process improvements and efficiency in accounting.
