Job summary

Circle K is seeking a Fixed Asset Analyst to ensure assets are accurately recorded and maintained in the fixed asset system. You will support CIP tracking, capital project accounting, and financial reporting across departments.

The role involves reconciling assets with GL accounts, coordinating asset audits, and preparing journal entries for capital expenditures. Strong Excel skills and familiarity with fixed asset systems are required.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
• 1–2 years accounting/finance experience preferred.
• Proficiency in Excel; Access experience preferred.
• Strong analytical, organizational and problem‑solving skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective written and verbal communication; ability to collaborate across departments.
• Experience with POPA, PDI, FAS or similar fixed asset systems is a plus.
• SOX/compliance environment experience and knowledge of internal controls preferred.
• Knowledge of fixed asset accounting principles, capital projects and financial controls preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review projects in POPA for accuracy and prepare CIP files for upload into Fixed Asset system.
• Reconcile fixed asset and related GL accounts for accurate reporting.
• Coordinate and support store asset audits on a five-year cycle.
• Prepare project-related journal entries and adjustments for capital expenditures and invoices.
• Analyze financial data and prepare reports on asset activity, balances and trends.
• Maintain accurate records by reviewing and documenting transactions and supporting documentation.
• Ensure SOX compliance and adherence to accounting policies.
• Research accounting questions by interpreting policies, procedures and regulations.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to enforce corporate controls and capex policies.
• Assist with setup, maintenance and tracking of fixed assets throughout their lifecycle.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, reporting and automation in fixed asset accounting.
