Job summary

Energy Transfer is seeking a detail-oriented Fixed Asset Accountant to manage asset records, conduct variance analysis, and support audits. The role involves reviewing capital expenditures, tracking CIP progress, and ensuring accurate asset classifications across multiple ledgers for GAAP, regulatory, and tax purposes.

You will collaborate with field personnel and utilize Excel/Word and fixed asset systems to maintain accurate records and timely reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) and 2–5 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Experience in fixed asset accounting and related regimes (GAAP/Regulatory/Tax).
• Proficiency with fixed asset systems and SAP is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review AR to validate capital expenditures.
• Monitor CIP and ensure timely in-service dates, asset life, and classifications.
• Collaborate with field personnel for accurate charges and timely closure of assets.
• Maintain fixed asset records across multiple ledgers and companies (GAAP/Regulatory/Tax).
• Perform roll forward, variance analysis, and close-out tasks.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual capital expenditure reports.
• Support quarterly financial and SOX audits, and regulatory reporting inquiries.
