Job summary

Vaco is seeking a Senior Fixed Assets Analyst to manage fixed asset accounting, depreciation, and capital expenditures, partnering with finance, IT, and operations to optimize processes. The role supports month-end close, asset records, and internal controls within a complex organization.

The ideal candidate has extensive fixed asset experience, strong SAP FI/CO expertise, and a track record of cross-functional collaboration to drive improvements and accurate reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or related field required.
• 5+ years in accounting, financial systems, or related process roles with fixed asset exposure.
• Experience with SAP FI/CO, FI-AA; PS is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support fixed asset accounting activities including additions, transfers, retirements, disposals, and depreciation.
• Oversee month-end close activities related to fixed assets for accuracy and timeliness.
• Maintain and review fixed asset records, classifications, useful lives, depreciation schedules.
• Support capital expenditure accounting including project cost tracking and capitalization.
• Identify opportunities to improve fixed asset processes for efficiency and consistency.
• Collaborate with Accounting, Finance, IT and other departments to resolve asset-related issues.
• Assist with process improvement requests and implementation of changes to workflows/systems.
• Support internal controls and SOX compliance, maintaining documentation and audit support.
• Assist with system testing and implementation of changes affecting asset and project processes.
• Develop and maintain accounting procedures, process docs, and training materials.
• Provide guidance on fixed asset processes and accounting requirements to stakeholders.
• Support special projects and continuous improvement initiatives related to fixed assets.
