Job summary

The Inn at Little Washington, a Forbes Five‑Star luxury property at the Blue Ridge foothills, seeks an Assistant Executive Housekeeper to lead daily housekeeping operations and uphold Forbes/Michelin standards.

Reporting to the Executive Housekeeper, you will supervise the team, manage budgets, drive training, and ensure guest rooms and public spaces meet immaculate standards while delivering outstanding hospitality. Experience in luxury properties and strong leadership are required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ progressive housekeeping experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or management capacity
• Strong understanding of luxury housekeeping standards and quality inspection processes
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and timekeeping systems (Paycom or comparable)
• Excellent communication skills in English, verbal and written
• Ability to work weekends, holidays, and a flexible schedule based on occupancy and business needs

Responsibilities

• Inspect guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces daily to ensure Forbes Five‑Star presentation and cleanliness standards
• Lead hiring, onboarding, and training of all housekeeping team members
• Build and maintain a structured training program covering cleaning techniques, safety, and property knowledge
• Manage weekly schedules, labor costs, and departmental budget
• Coordinate with Front Office on arrivals/departures and VIP requests
• Oversee inventory of supplies and equipment, ensuring PAR levels and no stockouts
• Ensure safety, sanitation, and compliance with OSHA and safety protocols
• Foster cross-department collaboration to meet guest needs and property initiatives
