Job summary

The Inn at Little Washington, a Forbes Five-Star, Michelin Two-Star luxury property, seeks a Housekeeping Manager to lead daily operations across rooms and public spaces. You will supervise supervisors, housekeepers, housemen, and attendants while upholding immaculate guest room standards and impeccable service.

You will own scheduling, budgeting, and procurement, build a culture of accountability, and collaborate with Front Office and Facilities to ensure seamless guest experiences.

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ progressive housekeeping experience, including supervisory capacity.
• Proven ability to lead, develop, and hold accountable a team of 10+ staff.
• Strong understanding of luxury housekeeping standards and quality inspection.
• Experience managing departmental budgets, labor costs, and supply inventories.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and timekeeping systems like Paycom.
• Effective communication skills in English, written and spoken.
• Ability to work weekends, holidays, and maintain a flexible schedule.
• Must be well-groomed and well-presented with no visible tattoos.

Responsibilities

• Inspect guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces to meet Forbes Five-Star standards.
• Establish cleaning protocols, checklists, and quality benchmarks for all areas.
• Coordinate with Front Office on arrivals, VIPs, and room moves.
• Communicate maintenance issues to Facilities and track resolution.
• Lead hiring, onboarding, and training for housekeeping staff.
• Build a structured ongoing training program on safety and service.
• Conduct annual performance evaluations and manage wage adjustments.
• Oversee scheduling, labor budget, and cost management.
• Maintain inventory, supplies, and vendor relationships.
