Job summary

Fairfield Inn Tallahassee North 1/10 is seeking a courteous, detail-oriented maintenance engineer to oversee the property’s upkeep, ensure safety, and keep equipment running smoothly for guests. You’ll implement preventive maintenance, respond to emergencies, and coordinate with staff to maintain a five-star experience.

Ideal candidates have 2–4 years of maintenance experience, a valid driver’s license, excellent communication and organizational skills, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of maintenance experience
• High school diploma or GED required
• Valid driver’s license and good driving record
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must have strong organizational and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Create an effective channel of communication with staff, managers, and department heads
• Maintain all hotel equipment and preventative maintenance plans
• Respond to emergencies before, during, and after shifts
• Observe engineering safety rules and criteria
• Operate maintenance tools (wrenches, hammers, screwdrivers, drills)
• Tend to all equipment and perform preventive maintenance routines
• Stay in contact with coworkers and departments and respond to emergencies outside regular hours
