Job summary

Fairfield Inn Hammond is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to oversee hotel maintenance, energy use, and safety programs. This full-time role requires hands-on work across electrical, plumbing, painting, drywall, carpentry and outdoor maintenance, including snow removal when needed.

The right candidate will ensure guest comfort by maintaining equipment, facilities, and safe operation while coordinating with the General Manager and housekeeping teams. Weekend/holiday availability is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in electrical, plumbing, painting, drywall and carpentry maintenance.
• Able to work in hotel environments with safety practices.
• Willing to perform snow removal and outdoor upkeep as needed.

Responsibilities

• Supervise hotel maintenance and prevent expensive downtime.
• Maintain public areas, guest rooms, and grounds under supervision.
• Address safety, security and health issues promptly with management.
