Job summary

Atkore in Pueblo, CO is seeking a Fittings Specialty Parts/Assembly I – 1st Shift (7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.) to ensure quality and accurate production of specialty fittings and custom assembly parts.

Reporting to the Manufacturing Supervisor, you will contribute to efficient operations and adhere to safety standards. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, roughly two years of shop experience, and strong math, counting and measurement skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Two years of shop experience preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Solid math skills for counting, calculations, and measurements (radius, diameters, lengths).
• Attention to detail, time management and organization.
• Adaptable to a fast-paced environment with changes and demands.
• Commitment to safe, efficient work practices in a manufacturing setting.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted.

Responsibilities

• Confirm product with schedule and locate inventory.
• Remove cured fittings from oven and extract from mandrel.
• Cut fittings per drawings and finish ends; apply tri-seals and O-rings as needed.
• Label, pack finished product and place in inventory location.
• Perform final dimensional and visual inspections per standards.
• Maintain work-in-process area for parts sent to machine shop.
• Keep accurate production records (finished, packaged, scrapped).
• Inspect by saw cuts, color, length, quantity and defect checks.
• Support housekeeping in assigned area and assist management as needed.
